Efficiency For A New Year

     On the eve of every new year people all over the world make their resolutions for the coming year. We make these resolutions with good intentions in mind, however those resolutions are usually broken the first or second week of the new year. I know, because I was one of those millions of people who usually makes some outlandish promise to myself that I know would be hard to commit to. This year I decided to make a commitment that I knew I could not break.

     
     My resolution was to read the Bible everyday and not just a few or several times a week. If you had read my "Redemption" post, you know that I have made a new covenant with God. Well, reading the Bible everyday is part of that covenant. I have been reading and praying everyday even though it has been hard to do this at the same time everyday. I have been seeking God's guidance in every aspect of my life and I must say, it has made a huge difference for the better as opposed to make decisions without seeking or asking before I make a decision. Anyway, let's move on.


     A while back my Praying Parent Group over at The Homescool Lounge had a discussion about Prayer Baskets. Some of us decided to make one, I was one of the one's that had decided to make one. It doesn't have to be expensive and you don't have to run out and buy a lot of things to make it. A lot of us have baskets of some sort laying a round the house along with note pads, pens, pencils, highlighters, note cards and (if your like me) several blank or lined journals, scrap booking embellishments, and paper. They are very easy to make and don't take a lot of time to finish. Unless your like me and get carried away with embellishing your pray list/journal. The first picture is my grandson's page.

The Prayer basket holds my Bible, prayer list/journal, a pen, pencil, highlighter in a little tumbler, note cards, note pad, and Bible study journal as well as a tissue bag that can be removed and emptied at the garbage can as shown below.

Now I can keep everything in one place and take it to the another room without having to look for everything I need before I read and study. Anyone can make these, you don't have to be crafty. I hope you enjoyed seeing the pictures as much as I enjoyed making it.
