30 Day Giving Challenge ~ Day 4

30-Day Giving Challenge

I can not think of a better feeling than being blessed by our Father. For He is the One who blesses us each day with our family's, friends, acquaintances, our jobs, food, possessions, etc. And today I want to bless everyone who is in my life and all of you who are apart of my life. This prayer/blessing is for all of you...

Stay Blessed

May God remember you like Noah,
Favor you like Moses,
Honor you like Mary,
Fight for you like the Israelites,
Prosper you like Isaac,
Promote you like Joseph,
Intervene for you like Esther,
Protect you like Daniel,
Use you like Paul,
Heal you like Naaman,
Answer you like Elijah,
Anoint you like David,
Keep you safe like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

This is my prayer for you.

May God's blessing be showered upon you every day the sun rises and sets.

30 Day Giving Challenge ~ Day 3

30-Day Giving Challenge

if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Rom. 12:8

I really like and enjoy our two youngest son's best friend. They had all met back in sixth grade and have been best friends ever since. They are always doing almost everything together. They go to the beach, skate boarding, to the mall, Starbucks to hang out for awhile and they also spend a lot of time hanging out in our garage. Normally that is what you do with your best friends, right? And normally your sons best friends are guys, right? Well, I guess my boys aren't normal, their best friend is one of the sweetest, caring, and fun young lady (who we call Missy) one could ever meet. She will do what she can to help with whatever you need help with. She had always have been there whenever my boys had a crisis (mainly girl), needed help with homework, needed someone to go to a dance with... whatever it was, she has always been there and vise versa with my boys.

Well when the bottom fell out on the economy, so did everything else in her and her families life (just like so many others). Her mom had become sick and could not work. Her father has continued to work, but without mom's income, they fell behind on payments and loans. They ended up losing their home and since then, they have been renting, they have just found out that mom now has cancer and will require immediate surgery. On top of everything else, Missy needed tire, not just one but all four! She had no idea how she was going to get new tire because any money she had left over from her pay checks were going to help out with groceries (minimum wage/part time). She was terrified to drive her car when it rained, but had no choice, she has to work.

So, I had mentioned to one of my daycare child's father the story of her needing tires and that she had just found out about her mom. Well, God immediately worked on his heart because he said he had four practically brand new tires sitting on the side of his home and that they have been sitting there for the past four or five years. He said he wanted her to have them but that she would need to go pick them up. I told her about them and we called my daycare dad, he told her she could pick them up right away. she went and picked them up with her father and when her father asked how much he needed to pay, daycare dad said, these are a gift. I have no use for them but Missy does. Missy's dad was so grateful and thankful that he began to tear up. Well daycare dad told him that he felt blessed that he could help them out.

I saw Missy today when she came over and she said she feels safe now. She said that she won't be afraid to drive now and especially when the rain starts. God's glory certainly had shown through to Missy and her father yesterday.

30 Day Giving Challenge ~ Day 2

30-Day Giving Challenge

Today is day two of my challenge, and as I was driving to the grocery store i was thinking about this giving challenge, I thought, what if I could give someone the opportunity of participating in this challenge too, as I continued to drive I began thinking of some other ways that I could give during this challenge and out of all of the ideas that crossed my mind, I have decided that the best way that I could give is to offer something for our homeless community here. So today I have been baking muffins (cinnamon cream cheese). I will load them up in the morning and begin giving them out tomorrow morning.

As I was in the grocery store, I noticed that the woman behind me with four toddlers and one infant was not having a good morning so I told her to go ahead of me. The infant was wailing and the toddlers were all asking the woman if they could have this candy or that candy. The woman looked like she was going to lose it any minute, so I asked her if I could hold the baby for her while she paid, she gladly gave the baby to me and as she was paying I was singing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to the toddlers and the baby. The woman was so grateful and you could see her becoming recomposed and smiling at her children.

It's amazing how God puts us in a situation or in someones life, just at the perfectly timed moment.

30 Day Giving Challenge

I have been invited by one of my friends on Facebook to participate in a 30 day giving challenge , I did not hesitate to accept this challenge! The only rules are, that you give each day no matter how small or how big your giving is. And we are doing it all for God's glory!

I want to invite all of you to join me in our 30 Day Giving Challenge beginning today, November 1st through November 30th. We will be blessing our families, friends, neighbors, and complete strangers by making a conscious effort to give each day in November.

"In everything I showed you that by working hard
in this manner you must help the weak and remember
the words of our Lord Jesus, that He Himself said,
It is more blessed to give than to receive"
Acts 20:35

I will be writing about my experience each day, I do not get out much, so this will be interesting to see and experience God's glory and how He will direct me in my journey of giving this month.
